    Additional cost factors for home insurance may include the year your home was built and the type of home to be insured. A licensed insurance counselor can provide you with an accurate quote based on your situation and apply any discounts you’re eligible for.

  • How do I pay for coverage?

    Aside from Progressive, you can choose to pay the Auto/Home carrier directly or have your premium deducted from your paycheck. Progressive does not offer payroll deduction. The Auto/Home carriers do not require a down payment (first two months of premium) or any additional fees for choosing payroll deduction.

    When stopping a payroll deduction, there is often a transitional period when premiums sent from an employer have not yet been posted to employee policies, even though deductions may have already come out of your paycheck. When you switch to direct bill, any money received from your employer after the switch will be applied to your future monthly payments. If you are paying for the remainder of the year in full, any money received from your employer will be refunded directly to you. A refund may take up to 4-6 weeks to be processed and received.

  • What if my employment status changes?

    When you leave or retire from your current employer, you can continue your auto and/or home coverage without interruption, subject to applicable law and the policies' terms and conditions. Although payroll deduction will no longer be available, you can opt for other payment methods such as direct bank account deduction, credit card billing or home billing.

  • When would my new policy begin?

    Almost immediately, if you would like! If you are accepted for coverage, your auto and/or home insurance can start the day after you apply for the coverage over the phone.
     

    If you want to receive proof of your new coverage sooner rather than later, you can get temporary insurance cards by fax or email, subject to state availability. Your permanent cards will be mailed to you.

  • How do I change my policy?

    Changing your policy is as easy as a phone call to one of our licensed insurance counselors. Call the phone number listed in the “Contact Us” section of this website.

  • What do I do if I have a claim?

    Call the number listed in the “Contact Us” section of this website and you will be routed to your insurance company. Always call as soon as possible, regardless of who is at fault. Even if the accident appears minor, it is important that you let your insurance company know about the incident.
